AVANI Nandra-Hart is hiding a worrying secret on EastEnders.
The character - played by Aaliyah James - is set to become close to one of Walford's newcomers.
Albert Square was recently rocked by the arrival of new members of the Mitchell clan.
Billy (Perry Fenwick) discovered that he actually has a half-brother, Edward 'Teddy' Mitchell (Roland Manookian).
Teddy made his debut in the soap alongside his two sons, Harry (Elijah Holloway), and Barney (Lewis Bridgeman).
The trio arrived looking for Stevie (Alan Ford) who subsequently revealed all.

Whilst Harry is a hardman like the other members of his family, Barney is more quiet and reserved.
He first met Avani on the Square, and she told him where the local shops and the tube station are.
Whilst he was given money to buy a burger, he kept the cash and chose instead to read his book in the garden.
The pair later became friends and have since started to spend more time with each other.

However, next week will see tension between the pair as Avani has other plans.
Although she is supposedly hanging out with him, she is more interested in her mobile.
It seems that her main focus is on her texts, where she is speaking to a mystery person.
Barney will start to get fed up, and he will quiz his pal on who she is speaking to.
After he correctly guesses the gender of the mystery figure, she will snap at her friend.
Barney has seemingly touched a nerve with his mate as she will tell him in no uncertain terms to shut up.
Will they stay friends? And who is the mystery man that Avani is texting?
