VIEWERS can go compare Wynne Evans’s bulky former body with the new trimmer frame he’s been honing ahead of competing in Strictly.
The Welsh opera star has lost a staggering six stone after exercising and taking up a diet dominated by cauliflower and ditching his two most unhealthy favourites - cheese and jam.
He’s been hitting the gym trying to get as fit as possible for for his stint on the BBC1 dance contest which kicks off next Saturday.
He joked: “The stuff I’m more nervous about is doing something like the jive because I represent every portly middle-aged father who jumps and could set a minor tsunami off in North London.
“I’m kind of a bit nervous about that.”
Wynne, 52, is famous for playing Italian tenor Gio Compario on the Go.Compare insurance comparison website adverts since 2009.

Last year the father-of-two also won the eighteenth series of BBC One’s Celebrity Masterchef, and was approached earlier this year to take part in Strictly.
