Three clues Love Island’s Matilda and Sean had split in secret from solo holiday to showmance rumours

JUST months after the Love Island villa closed its doors, three clues suggest that Matilda Draper and Sean Stone had secretly parted ways before making a public announcement.

The former couple took to Instagram this afternoon to confirm that they've split.

One clue that sparked split rumours came two weeks ago after Matilda partied in Ibiza without Sean.

She jetted off with a few of her Love Island pals including Harriet Blackmore, Uma Jammeh and Grace Jackson.

The second clue came after the pair appeared on the Not My Bagg podcast a week ago to talk about life after the villa.

Despite looking very happy in each other's company, some fans voiced that they're not meant to be.

One said in the YouTube comments: "They don’t seem that compatible, I expect a breakup announcement in a few weeks after the hype dies down. She doesn’t seem that into him ."

"They don't seem like a convincing couple," another chimed in.

A third wrote on Reddit: "Lmao. Its giving lights camera showmance."

The third clue came after Matilda and Sean's night out, at the beginning of the month, with their Love Island co-stars.

A gang of the Islanders went out, but their posts on social media raised a few eyebrows.

One pointed out: "Is just me or did you guys think that Sean and Matilda seemed quite distant yesterday? from the islanders stories and snaps it was definitely something weird there and she went to sleep with Harriett after.

Another replied: "I clocked that from the stories too."

A third chimed in: ";I just clocked that Matilda and Sean were very distant and she went to sleep with Harriett."

The couple placed third on this year's summer series of the show.

Sean was an OG Islander, but failed to find love in the first few weeks.

But things totally changed when Matilda entered on day 17 as a bombshell.

The sweets salesman fell head over heels for the recruitment consultant.

Earlier today Matilda took to Instagram to share the following statement: "Just wanted to come on here to tell you guys that Sean and I have decided to part ways.

"We are still good friends & I'm so grateful to have shared such an incredible experience with him."

She continued: "We appreciate all of your support throughout our time together and all the love you have shown us."

Matilda finished the statement with "love you all," followed by a heart emoji.

Sean also posted a similar statement to his Instagram story.
