ANOTHER BBC Breakfast presenter shake-up occurred this morning after Naga Munchetty went 'missing' from our screens.

The 49-year-old usually presents the show every Thursday to Saturday with co-host Charlie Stayt.

However for today's instalment Rachel Burden, 49, appeared on the red sofa alongside Charlie.

Rachel has appeared on BBC Breakfast since 2015 and is one of the main weekend presenters.

When she's not filling in for Naga, Rachel has been the presenter of BBC Radio 5 Live weekday breakfast show for the past 13 years.

Rachel has been working with the Beeb for a number of years.

The journalist started off her career at BBC Radio Suffolk, followed by a role at BBC Radio Bristol.

Then in 2003 she joined Radio 5 Live and has been working with them ever since.

Yesterday Charlie was joined by a different presenter on BBC Breakfast.

Luxmy Gopal stepped in for Naga on Friday's episode and was involved in a huge blunder live on air.

The presenter was caught having hair done before the official start of the show.

Cameras switched to the studio for a sneak peek at the upcoming programme at 5.56am, only to find Luxmy still getting her hair styled.

Luxmy acted like a true professional and started talking to cameras.

"The headlines today…" she started calmly, as the screen quickly cut to a clip detailing the latest developments in the US Presidential elections.

The star has been a presenter on the show since 2016.

Earlier this week one presenter created a frosty atmosphere in the studio after he snapped at Carol Kirkwood during her live weather report.

Who are the current presenters of BBC Breakfast?

The flagship BBC show has had dozens of presenters during its impressive 40 years on air but the current stars are:

Jon Kay - Since 2022

Sally Nugent - Since 2021

Charlie Stayt - Since 2006

Naga Munchetty - Since 2014

Carol Kirkwood - Since 1997

Ben Thompson, 43, appeared moody and fed up after a cold and rainy weather report - and Carol Kirkwood got the brunt of it.

Ben and his co-presenter Sally Nugent received bad news from the weather presenter, leaving them in a foul mood.

Sally asked Carol if she would be happily "singing" this morning.

But Carol replied: "You might not be singing too much about the weather when you hear what I’ve got to say, Sal

"The weather for the next few days is – I’m trying to think of a polite way to put it... not great."

Ben then snapped: "Okay done, that’s it. We don’t need any more."
