I starred on The Traitors – bosses need to do a format shake-up or the show could face the axe

Jaz also recently bagged himself a huge new job at the BBC

THE Traitors finalist Jaz Singh has admitted he thinks bosses need to introduce a new element to the programme in a bid to save it from being axed.

The star managed to make it all the way to the final of the second series of the hit BBC series earlier this year and earned himself the nickname of Jazatha Christie thanks to his impressive sleuthing.

But now he has warned that the show could fall victim to fans switching off as a result of the same format each series.

However, Jaz has already thought up his own way to keep the format fresh and to keep viewers coming back each year.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Jaz said: "I genuinely feel as though they should introduce a new character to the show.

"I think, the beauty about the game is that it can always be mixed up, it can always change it up.

"And yet, you know what to expect in the premise of the game."

Spilling all on what he would do if he were in charge, Jaz said: "So series three, they're very smart, they're just they're very clever and I'm sure that they'll have a way of mixing it up and changing it  and freshening it up so people can get hooked.

"But I would love to see if they can introduce a new character and  the character would be something called like the Angel or the Oracle.

"And so there's a Faithful, Traitor and an Oracle, for instance. And that person knows that they're an Oracle.

The show is due to return next year with a celebrity edition also in the works.

Jaz has remained working with the BBC since his stint on the reality show by bagging himself a presenting slot on the BBC Asian Network.

He recently took control of the Asian Network Motivation slot aired on Monday evenings between 8pm and 10pm on the network.

The TV hunk made it all the way to the final but fell at the last moment when he was voted off by Mollie Pearce and eventual winner, and Traitor, Harry Clark.

As a breakout star of the show, his latest BBC role comes just months after he was snapped up by ITV's This Morning for a guest hosting stint.

He hosted a special mini documentary series on Agatha Christie for the daytime show.
