THIS Morning may have been nominated in the Daytime category, but their lead stars aren’t in the running to be crowned best presenters.
Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard took over as main hosts of the programme in March after their predecessors, Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, left amid dark circumstances last year.
But despite supposedly heralding a new start for This Morning, viewers were underwhelmed and the ratings dipped over the next two months.
However, fans seem more impressed with Alison Hammond, a part-time show host, as she has been nominated in the Presenter category once again.
Though she faces stiff competition to win as she’s not only up against Claudia Winkleman, Bradley Walsh and Stacey Solomon, she also has to vie with Ant & Dec - who have won it for the past 22 years.
Meanwhile, Strictly Come Dancing viewers have thrown their support behind the beleaguered show by nominating it three times in this year’s awards.

Over the past ten months, the BBC One show has been hit by a string of allegations about the behaviour of some of its biggest stars behind the scenes.
Despite this, it has been nominated in the Talent Show category of the NTAs, which are entirely voted for by the public.
Co-host Claudia Winkelman is up for the best TV Presenter gong and judge Anton du Beke has a nod in the Expert category.
Other interesting nominations included a stand-off between Robbie Williams and David Beckham whose self-titled Netflix autobiographies are in the Authored Documentary category.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Clarkson is the favourite to win the Factual Entertainment award after the most recent series of Clarkson’s Farm proved to be a huge hit for Prime Video.
The Top Gear star’s sidekick on Diddly Squat Farm, Kaleb Cooper, has also been nominated in the expert category.
The final round of voting to decide the final winners now begins, with the recipients receiving their gongs at a glittering ceremony at London’s 02 on September 11 at 8pm, which is also broadcast live on ITV1 and ITVX.
