Morning Live fans shocked as Gethin Jones reveals secret hidden talent as BBC show remains off air
MORNING Live star Gethin Jones has impressed fans after debuting a secret musical talent on social media.
The 46-year-old retired Welsh rugby player shared a snapshot of how he has been spending some of his time away from the BBC studio as Morning Live remains off air.
Taking to Instagram on 15 August, TV presenter Gethin revealed that he’s quite talented at the violin.
In fact, he’s secretly been performing at events for his friends and family for years.
Gethin was recently asked to perform at a wedding and he happily accepted.
Explaining the backstory, he said: “The groom (I played the violin at his mum and dad’s wedding) asked me to play the bride’s favourite song as a surprise, as they made their way out of the service.

“It was so cool, they had speakers everywhere so I was able to play and walk all the way down to the lake.”
He even hoped that he might be able to watch his performance at the impressive wedding venue again at a later date, as he believed his sister had been recording him.
Gethin explained: “I said to my sis ‘hey, fancy filming it? Be nice to keep as a memory.’ My sister’s videos…”
Unfortunately, this didn’t go to plan and Gethin shared the clip that his sister recorded, which was just of people’s feet and her handbag.
Even without the video, Gethin’s fans were impressed to learn about his secret talent.
“Oh noooo, would have liked to hear that!” one fan commented on the post.
“Well, who knew?!” wrote another shocked fan.
A third praised: “Awww, what a wonderful thing to do. Your sister’s videoing skills notwithstanding…”
While a fourth added: “What a beautiful way to celebrate such a special moment.”
With no video to share with fans, here’s hoping the TV presenter puts on another performance on Morning Live.

Morning Live has been a staple of BBC One's daytime schedule offering for the last four years and airs directly after BBC Breakfast each weekday at 9.30am. But who presents the show?
He and his co-stars Helen Skelton and Michelle Ackerley will return to screens later this month after weeks off the air.
The morning show is currently almost three weeks into its scheduled four-week summer break.

It will be returning to screens in its usual time slot on Monday 26 August, following BBC Breakfast - which is now back to its regular schedule after many BBC shakeups due to the Olympic Games coverage - on weekdays from 9.30 to 10.45am.
