EastEnders newcomer confirms she’s left the soap as fans demand she return full-time

EASTENDERS newcomer Laila Rouass has confirmed she has left the soap after her guest stint.

The actress - who plays Suki Panesar’s ex Ayesha in the BBC soap - signed up for a limited number of episodes for a specific storylines.

Viewers watched as Ayesha was brought to Walford by Nish Panesar - the man who murdered her husband.

He thought that by bringing her back and introducing her to Suki that he could use it to split Suki’s relationship with Eve Unwin back.

But Ayesha quickly proved to be more than a match for Nish and actually set about repairing Suki and Eve’s relationship - and putting him back in his box.

But much to fan disappointment, actress Laila has now finished filming and left the soap.

She’s posted on Instagram saying: “My last episode on @eastenders tonight. 

“Thank you so much for all your wonderful messages and support. 

“Had the best time being Ayesha. Enjoy tonight’s episode and I’ll see you on screen again soon. Laila x”

However fans are devastated she’s gone - and are demanding bosses give her a full-time permanent contract.
