THE ONE Show star Alex Jones has revealed that filming for the second series of the BBC’s Gladiators is underway as she shares behind-the-scenes pictures and videos.
Iconic sports competition show Gladiators returned to screens earlier this year after being off air for over a decade.
The Chase star Bradley Walsh joined forces with his son Barney to host the rebooted show, which is based on the beloved ITV series which ran from 1992 to 2000.
Sky previously rebooted the show from 2008 to 2009, but it has been off air for over a decade.
Now Gladiators are back in full force and Alex, 47, confirmed the second series is underway.
In a series of behind-the-scenes snaps and videos posted on Instagram, Alex revealed that she took her kids for a fun day out to watch some of the filming as they’re huge fans of the show.

Sharing details of the day alongside the photos and videos, Alex wrote: “A bit of work and a bit of play. Filmed some behind the scenes of the Gladiators and was lucky enough to be able to take the show’s biggest fans with me to watch them record an episode.

“What a day! Homeward bound now with two very sleepy boys and a mother who’s googling local gym classes,” she wrote.
Fans excitedly responded to Alex’s social media post, praising her efforts.
“Very gladiatorial,” one wrote, while another suggested she could be one of the professionals on the show. “Yes, Alex, I can see you as a gladiator,” they praised.
But it’s unclear whether Alex was there to have some fun and film content for The One Show or if she could make an appearance on Gladiators’ upcoming celebrity special.
At the moment, she is not expected to appear on the special which will air later this year.
The celebrities who will go head-to-head in challenges and the all-important Eliminator are comedian Rob Beckett, TV presenter and amateur triathlete Louise Minchin, presenter Joel Dommett and Ted Lasso star Ellie Taylor.
