The show debuted last year on BBC Two and followed the star in Jamaica as he learned more about his family's past.

But while Clive has been taking a look into his own past, many of his fans have been keen to learn more about his present.

Whilst Clive has kept most of his private life under wraps, he has offered up glimpses into his life behind the lens.

The BBC star is married to Catherine Myrie, a furniture restorer.

Clive and Catherine first met one another in 1992 - 32 years ago.

At the time, Catherine was involved in the publishing industry and met her husband-to-be at a book launch where he was the guest.

After six years of dating, Clive and Catherine were married in a divine ceremony Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Covent Garden.

Although Clive confessed it was "love at first sight" for him and Catherine, they were soon cruelly pulled apart just after getting hitched.

As Clive had just been taken on as the LA correspondent at the Beeb, he was forced to jet straight off to the West Coast.

Previously, Clive spoke about his wife in a rare interview with the Express where he opened up about the possibility of filming a TV show with his wife.

As part of his ongoing BBC travel shows, Clive teased at what point that he and Catherine could be gearing off to head to Italy together.

Clive revealed: "That was part of the plan, possibly to be on camera but possibly not.

"She's actually quite a reserved, shy person, unlike her husband.

"But the hope was she was going to come over and at least spend a little bit of time with us but we had builders in so we couldn't do it and we have been waiting for these builders for a long time, and my wife is quite particular, so not this time."

At home, it is just Clive and Catherine with the couple opting to not have any children with one another.

Having attempted to try for a baby, they then decided it would be "unfair" for them to welcome a child into the world.

In an interview with The Times, Clive said: "No. We were trying for a child, nothing seemed to be happening, and then we ended up moving and realised that it would be quite unfair because we just love travelling so much."

He then added: "We gradually decided it wasn't really right for us. We come from such big families our get-together's are always huge."

Elsewhere, the star recently opened up on his own health battle that has had an impact on his travelling.

The 59-year-old confessed he has secretly had troubling bouts of travel sickness.

He previously revealed: "It's less so in planes now, more in cars, but I was just sick all the time on that flight from the UK to Kingston in Jamaica.

"Then we had cross-country journeys on long bumpy roads to see cousins and other relatives."

Meanwhile, Clive recently spoke out about the sick death threats he's received, admitting they've left him shaken.

He detailed the racism he's experienced in his 30 years of being one of the faces of the BBC.

Clive said he had been sent faeces and cards with gorillas on. In one email he was told: “You shouldn’t be on TV, you dress like a pimp.”
