WEATHER presenter Carol Kirkwood has shared a rare statement on her former relationship after getting happily married to her second husband.
The Scotswoman tied the knot with Steve Randall, who is 13 years younger than her, in December 2023.
She was previously married to property developer Jimmy Kirkwood before they separated in 2008.
Carol is quite private about her love life and has never shared the reason why she got a divorce.
However, in the classiest way possible, she has now revealed that she is happier with her new hubby.
The BBC Breakfast star told the Times: "Love is lovelier the second time around. No disrespect to my first husband, but this is better."

It is unclear exactly when Carol met her current partner but they have been together since at least June 2021.
She revealed that they had gotten engaged in May last year while live on the Chelsea Flower Show.
Carol married Steve during an intimate ceremony in Cliveden House on December 27.
She has spoken about the "sliding doors moment" when she met him.

In an interview for The Mail’s You Magazine, Carol detailed how she and Steve met at a work function almost seven years ago.
However, they met completely by chance, as neither of them planned to attend, only to both change their minds at the last minute.
She said: “I met Steve at a work function about seven years ago. I was drinking an espresso martini, and Steve very sensibly wasn’t drinking because he’s a policeman and had work the next day.
“We went on our first lunch date shortly after and had sandwiches and tea. It’s strange to think that neither of us had planned on going to the function, but we changed our minds at the last minute, and if one of us hadn’t, we’d never have met.”
