Love Island’s Ellie Jackson reveals ‘real reason’ she split from Trey – as she warns Strictly star AJ Pritchard’s ex

LOVE Island's Ellie Jackson has revealed the 'real reason' she split from Trey Norman.

Yesterday the 22-year-old broke her silence on going their separate ways from her "calculated" ex after he was pictured on a date with AJ Prichard's ex Abbie Quinnen.

Speaking to The Sun about their failed romance, Ellie claimed his motive for fame turned her off.

Ellie told us: "I do think that there may have been a little bit of a vendetta behind the relationship in terms of... I think Trey mentioned he wants to go on All Stars and, you know, kind of like keeping us in the limelight.

"I'm such a genuine person. I find it hard to fake a relationship and fake liking someone just for the sake of publicity and stuff like that.

"You know, if I want to find someone, I want it to be because I actually have a good connection with them and we get on."

After Ellie ended things, Trey was seen out with Abbie on a date in London.

When asked about the pictures, Ellie said: "I wasn't shocked at all. I definitely think it's something Trey would do.

"I think you know, he is kind of loving life at the moment. It could be a bit of a showmance. Who knows?"

Ellie has no hard feelings toward Abbie and has even met her at a showbiz party since leaving the villa.

Ellie continued: "Abby's a lovely girl. I met her last week at one of the events in London, and I had absolutely no idea that she'd planned to go on this date with Trey when I spoke to her!

"I just kind of want to make sure that she knows he's being genuine with her just because it wouldn't be nice for him to just be kind of using her for the limelight and this industry.

"I'd just like to think that his feelings for her are genuine if he is taking her out on dates and doing all the things that he said he was going to do with me, but never did."

She added: "It's not really my place to get involved in anyone else's business.

"But you know, if Abbie did want to talk about, you know, sort of the trey situation, because I think it probably will be addressed when we see each other.

"I'll give her my honest opinion about the situation, I'll wish her all the best.

"I think I would have to keep my fingers and toes crossed for her that it would work out just because I'm just not really sure what his intentions are behind it all.

"I mean, you could call it a warning, I guess.

"But maybe a lighthearted one, because he's not that bad. But you just you just have to have to try and suss out if his feelings are genuine or not."

Ellie caught the eye of Trey - who was paired with Jess White - when she entered the villa as a Casa Amor bombshell.

The pair coupled up together, but just days later were dumped after they were voted the least compatible couple.
