LOVE Island fans think a fed-up contestant won't speak to any of his fellow Islanders again once the show is over.

Some watching at home feel Ayo Odukoya looked and sounded dejected and despondent last night as he came under fire in a tense villa reunion ahead of tonight's final.

A collection of dumped Islanders returned to the villa to have their say on who should make the series showpiece.

Though Joey Essex and Jessy Potts ultimately missed out, it still wasn't easy listening for other pairings.

Ayo, who is partnered with Jessica Spencer, came under fire for his behaviour through the course of the series, namely his failure to cleanly cut ties with former partner Mimii Ngulube.

Returning Islander Harriet Blackmore was one of those who chose to dump him and Jessica from the villa.

She said: "I feel like the boy in this couple might still have feelings for someone else and even his family member saw it too."

This was in reference to the family reunion episode when Ayo's brother claimed he had a better connection with Mimii than Jessica, leaving his sibling stunned.

Ayo responded: "I feel naturally everyone has their opinion. I feel like when my brother did have his opinion I definitely backed me and Jess so I ain't really fussed about what anyone has to say. I'm good with Jessica and that's how it is."

Uma Jammeh then reiterated Harriet's point and said Ayo wasn't as sympathetic as he should have been following his brother's comment.

Fans felt Ayo was truly done with it all, with one writing: "Ayo is never speaking to the people currently in the villa again, that man is so checked out."

Another said: "I feel bad for Ayo he just looks so defeated, he’s been defending his couple for 3 weeks (Sean, his brother, Joey, ex islanders) they won’t leave him alone."

‘Real reason’ behind Joey Essex’s bitter Love Island feud revealed by fans

Elsewhere, Joey was branded a "game player" by one Islander.

Host Maya Jama revealed that Joey and Jessy had picked Sean Stone and Matilda Draper as the "least compatible" couple, which came as a huge shock due to Joey and Sean's friendship.

The two boys have been close pals throughout their Love Island journey.

"Big bro?!" Sean gasped when it was revealed that Joey had voted for them.

"What, that's crazy from Joey," Matilda said.

After Joey and Jessy received most of the votes from their co-stars, they were sent home.

Before leaving, Joey and Sean spoke about the dumping.

"You've had my back, you've given me confidence. We've had the good and the bad, but man to man I really appreciate you," Sean told Joey.

"But obviously you voted for me.." he added.

Joey explained that he thought that everyone was going to vote for him and Jessy, so they felt they had to pick Sean and Jessie.
