Fans previously hit out at script writers for erasing Ben Mitchell from the soap's storyline after he was jailed in the US.

The beloved Walford resident was sentenced for commiting credit card fraud in an attempt to fund a medical trial for his ex.
Husband Callum promised to wait for his release, but fans noticed he stopped mentioning his partner once Ben was out of town.
Ben's daughter Lexi also stayed strangely silent about his absence.
It seems show bosses have taken on the feedback of fans because now Lexi is planning to fly out and see her dad in America, alongside her grandparents Kathy and Ian.

Sadly, Callum could not get enough time off work to accompany them, and is devastated to miss the reunion with his husband.
Viewers will soon be able to watch Walford residents doing everything they can to cheer the man up while his family visit Ben.
At some point during their big reunion Callum misses a call from Ben, leaving him feeling dismal.
Honey manages to get him out of the house for a pint and encourages Callum to go on a night out with his friend Johnny.
