THE BBC’s top boss is braced for a tough grilling on the Strictly scandal today.

Director General Tim Davie is to discuss a range of topics from the Corporation’s annual report — which often touts the dance show as a major success.

The Beeb has already vowed to introduce a raft of new measures amid criticism they failed to spot bad behaviour by pros.

But Mr Davie will likely be asked if the BBC has gone far enough — and is expected to respond to new allegations made since the procedures were unveiled a week ago.

The BBC’s own journalists are also investigating the misconduct claims for a possible Panorama-style programme.

A source told The Sun: “For Strictly producers and bosses, this is their worst nightmare.

"Being investigated by your own channel is a sign of just how serious things have become.

“But for the BBC board of directors it’s vital their news teams operate impartially.”

Meanwhile, Amanda Abbington is expected to make a major revelation about the show on Channel 4 News tomorrow in an interview with ex-Strictly contestant Krishnan Guru-Murthy.
