Skate siren Vanessa praises ITV show's training sessions amid Strictly crisis
DANCING On Ice pro Vanessa Bauer has praised her show’s duty of care to celebrities in the wake of the current Strictly crisis.
With the BBC One show reeling from allegations of bullying by pro dancers, the skate siren said training sessions for the ITV series were already attended by show staff.

She told me: “Their training regime is different to Dancing on Ice. But yeah, training is intense.
“All our sessions are recorded and we also have coaches on the side that are helping with spotting our lifts.
“We have to have an added safety factor, so most of the time there are people around on the ice rink anyway.”
The BBC has added training chaperones to its raft of new safety measures in the wake of recent scandals.

Seann's job is a laugh
SEANN WALSH has landed a new TV gig but isn’t sure whether he should be celebrating.
The comic has joined Dermot O'Leary and Katherine Ryan's new comedy gameshow Silence Is Golden alongside Fatiha El-Ghorri.
Together they will be trying to coax a giggle out of the audience, who are tasked with staying quiet to win £250k.
Seann said: “I’ve been chosen for a show where the audience isn’t allowed to laugh, and apparently I should be flattered by that.”
Comic Fatiha is a little more confident, though, adding: “I can’t wait to see the money going down, mwahahahahahahaha!”
During each episode of the U&Dave show, which will air next year, as many as 30 comics will try and break the audience.
Each time they make a sound money will be deducted from the massive prize pot.

GREG RUTHERFORD has vowed to steer clear from any more reality TV shows until he is back on his feet after his injury on Dancing On Ice.
Despite being approached to star in Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, the former Olympian has ruled out an appearance after slicing open his stomach on the ITV rink.
He said: “I have said that I would not do any more challenges that could damage my body. SAS has been discussed, but I would need to make sure I’m fit enough, mentally I could push myself but I need to rest.
“I’m A Celebrity though, I have said no multiple times because everyone knows I’m scared of spiders – and I get too hangry, I don’t think people need to see me cry.”
A NEW fly-on-the-wall medical show is coming to Netflix. Critical will be a six-part documentary series focussing on top paramedics, doctors, nurses and surgeons in London as they save lives across the capital. It comes from the makers of Channel 4’s 24 Hours In A&E and will air in 2025.
