HAIRY Bikers star Si King left fans feeling emotional after a touching tribute to his late friend Dave Myers.

The two worked together as an on-screen cooking duo for 20 years, with programmes across a variety of channels.

Dave sadly died in February aged 66, just under two years after announcing he'd been diagnosed with cancer.

Taking to Instagram, Si shared updates from a trip to France.

He had posted a snap from the outside of an old winery in the southern region of the country.

Si wrote: "Kingy is on the move again. But where is he this time? More wine s'il vous plaît #holidays #siking #hairybikers #INEOSGrenadier.”

It was the TV chef referring himself as "Kingy" which moved fans.

As one wrote in the comments: "The best part about these posts its that I read ‘Kingy’ in Dave’s voice.

"A little bit of cheer every time. Gone but never forgotten.”

Another agreed: "So did I without even thinking about it until I read your post.”

Last month, Si confirmed the Hairy Bikers brand was over for good.

Speaking to , the star said when addressing his next career move: “It can’t be the Hairy Bikers 2.0.

“That’s not going to happen. It wouldn’t be respectful.”

The pair' first series, The Hairy Bikers' Cookbook, ran from 2004 to 2008 on BBC Two.

Follow-up outings included The Hairy Bikers' Food Tour of Britain, The Hairy Bikers' Asian Adventure and The Hairy Go North.

In 2013, Dave ventured into the world of dance and reality TV competition.

He competed on that year's edition of Strictly Come Dancing, alongside the likes of Deborah Meaden, Rachel Riley and eventual winner Abbey Clancey.

Dave partnered with Venzeulan-American ballroom dancer Karen Hauer, who has since become the show's longest serving professional performer.

After news of Dave's death became public, Karen wrote on Instagram: "Dave. You taught me how to have fun and to take on the day with a big Smile.

"Rest well my dear friend. I’m going to miss you so much."
