EastEnders fans predict legendary character will return ‘from the dead’ as they beg BBC bosses for ‘closure’
FANS have started to think that a character who was presumed dead on EastEnders might make a miraculous comeback.
The announcement that Chrissie Watts is returning to Walford after 19 years sparked speculation that she might bring someone back with her.
Eagle-eyed viewers pointed out that her ex boyfriend Jake Moon was never seen dead on screen.
The pair split up when Chrissie was caught on tape confessing to the murder of her husband, Den.
Jake was insistent that he would stick by her during her prison sentence, even proposing to Chrissie in lockup.
However, she rebuffed him, saying she didn't want him to waste his life away waiting for her.

Because Chrissie has been in jail this whole time, she is not aware that Jake was presumably killed by a gangster shortly after they split up.
The mobster was last seen when a convict approached him in Albert Square, asking if he is called Jake Moon.
Viewers believe he then died off screen as the criminal thought mob boss Johnny was asking him to kill Jake.
In reality, Johnny's dying words were asking Jake to kill Sean Slater for him, but he had a heart attack while asking for a phone and was misinterpreted by one of his inmates.
In hindsight, several people are now questioning whether Jake actually did get murdered, and many EastEnders fans think he may yet make a reappearance in Albert Square.
On an online forum, one avid audience member shared: "Jake's last scene was him being approached by two dodgy looking blokes - that by no means says that he is dead.
"His fate was left ambiguous so he could easily return at a later date and it would be far more believable than Cindy, Kathy, etc."
Another added: "Would love for some closure on what happened to Jake. It was only ever implied he was killed but we never had actual confirmation from memory.
"I loved the character of Jake. One way of explaining his disappearance would be maybe he has been with Chrissy since she was released from prison and he is still alive.
"He may even return with Chrissy, that would be brilliant if that happened."
Jake Moon originally arrived in Walford with his brother Danny in 2004.
During Joel Beckett's two-year stint in EastEnders his character was involved in a number of high-profile storylines.
After quitting acting, Joel went on to become a life coach.
