Line of Duty’s Adrian Dunbar drops huge hint BBC crime drama will return ‘next year’
He opened up about the show's filming process
A LINE of Duty star has given fans hope that the axed show might return for another series soon.
In a recent appearance on Good Morning Britain, Adrian Dunbar was quizzed about the crime drama.

The actor is currently starring in Broadway musical Kiss Me, Kate, but is best known for his time on the BBC show as Chief Superintendent Ted Hastings.
After discussing his transition to theatre, presenters Susanna Reid and Ed Balls asked Adrian whether the former Line of Duty cast think they will ever reunite.
This question has been a common topic among fans who were left heartbroken when the show concluded in 2021 and was never renewed for a seventh season.
In an exciting turn of events, Adrian was quick to respond: "Well I think so, Vicky (McClure) thinks so, Martin (Compston) thinks so.

"Everybody thinks so! It'll be down to the BBC and Jed Mercurio I think, when and whether we do it.
"Hopefully, somebody will make a decision at some point."
Good Morning Britain host Ed was then curious about how long it would be before a new season dropped if the drama did get greenlit.
Adrian explained: "First of all, Jed will have to write whatever he's going to write. That doesn't happen overnight.

"Then the BBC will have to make a decision on when we're going to shoot it, where we're going to shoot it.
"Hopefully we'll get back to Belfast, that's where we shot everything. It'll easily be a year."

Delighted by the news, Ed went on to ask if it is possible that Line of Duty might make a big comeback in 2025.
"The end of next year? Maybe," Adrian hinted.
Susanna then pointed out that Adrian will be finished with his new West End role by September, leaving plenty of time to commence filming.
Adrian's Northern Irish character Ted Hastings was loved by fans for his iconic sayings in times of crisis, such as "Jesus, Mary and Joseph and the wee donkey" and "houl yer whisht".
The no-nonsense Superintendent was forced into an early retirement towards the end of the series, but has been contesting the decision from the sidelines.
