AN Emmerdale killer is set to return and will be caught breaking into a house in a disturbing plot.
The fictional Yorkshire village has been home to a number of murderers over the years.
Earlier this year, it was revealed newcomer Ella Forster had a dark secret, having killed her friend when they were both 11 years old.
Ella - was previously known as Ruth - was sent to prison for the crime but fled the village after new boyfriend Liam Cavanagh discovered the truth.
However, in upcoming Emmerdale scenes, Ella returns, just as Manpreet encourages Liam to rekindle things with Chas Dingle when he resigns himself to remaining single.
Ella initially remains hidden from view, but later, Mandy realises there is an intruder - and discovers it's her.

Ella admits she is back to collect the rest of her things, but as Ella leaves, Mandy is conflicted.
But before long, Sam calls the ambulance service to alert them to a crash on a country road involving Ella’s car…
Will Ella be OK?
Emmerdale's new producer Sophie Roper recently opened up to The Sun Online and other media about Ella and how she will continue to struggle to escape her past.

She said: "Ella will continue in the show and her past will continue to haunt her.
"Her relationship with Liam will remain complicated and we'll continue to question: will she ever get her happily-ever-after? Can she ever escape her past that's led her to this point?"
Meanwhile actor Jonny McPherson - who plays Liam - previously opened up about his character's romantic relationship with Ella and how her deception "is a big thing for him".
Viewers will recall how Liam was devastated by Ella's admission, especially as his own daughter Leanna was killed by Meena Jutla in 2021.
Jonny said: "I think this relationship is now almost definitely cooked! I mean, never say never, but I would say it's almost definitely it. I don't think there is any coming back from it.
"On multiple occasions, Ella could have told him the truth. She had so many chances to open up and tell him about her past but she didn't.
"He feels utterly betrayed and very upset."
