Just days before the grand finale, former footballer Reuben Collins has been axed from Love Island during a dramatic challenge.

Who is Reuben Collins?
Reuben Collins is a semi-professional footballer who was looking for one in Love Island this summer.
The former sportsman played for Chertsey Town FC.
In 2024, Reuben celebrated a promotion from the Isthmian League South Central after his team championed the season.
The centre back has played for a number of clubs including AFC Wimbledon and Truro City.

Speaking about his career as a footballer he told “It’s just the love of the game.
"Literally as soon as I could walk, it’s just been everything to me.
"If I could live at the training ground I would.
“It’s hard to put into words. Just going out in the garden and doing drills, I find satisfaction in that.

When did Reuben Collins go into the Love Island Villa?
Reuben was one of two bombshells who headed into the villa on July 8, 2024, alongside Joshua Oyinsan.
Before he joined the show a source told The Sun: "Reuben is one of the two new male bombshells who enters tonight.
"He causes quite the stir.

"He's gorgeous and super confident, so he makes great TV.
"He and his fellow new arrival go on a romantic candle lit tapas date with Mimii, Jessy and Uma tonight, so perhaps Mimii won't be single for long after her Ayo heartbreak."
When did Reuben Collins get axed from the villa?
In the ITV2 episode that aired on Wednesday July 24, the islanders were faced with a variety of poll questions in a day challenge known as #CoupleofSorts.
The challenge involved couples attempting to rank themselves in the correct order of first, second and third position on the podium - to match the predicted votes of the public.

During the dramatic challenge, the islanders were faced with their final question: ‘Which couple is least likely to work on the outside?’
Reuben and Grace took first place on the podium then out of nowhere, they received an unexpected text which rocked the Villa.
The text read by Josh confirmed that the public had ranked Reuben and Grace the couple least likely to work on the outside, and therefore were dumped from the island.
What did Reuben Collins say about leaving the Love Island villa?
After being voted the least likely couple to work on the outside Reuben spoke exclusively to ITV:
"I personally disagree with it.
"We were around each other 24/7 in there!
"When we found out we were leaving, I wasn’t sad, I knew I lived every day to the max and there are a lot of stronger couples in there.
"We know how strong our connection is and the track we’re on.
"It was all round a great experience and the fact I got to leave the Villa with an all around angel, that I’m very much into, and likes me back, I can’t ask for more."
Reuben revealed who he believes to be one of the 'stronger couples' in the villa saying:
"Ciaran and Nicole have the best connection, they are made for each other!
"They are literally soul mates. But for me, obviously I have to back my bro Josh and back him and Mimii.
"I started my journey with him and I really want him to finish it by taking the win."
