Major update on Strictly’s proposed 20th anniversary special at Buckingham Palace
A STRICTLY Come Dancing 20th anniversary special set to be filmed at Buckingham Palace has been scrapped.
Logistical problems and diary clashes have scuppered attempts despite talks.
The BBC probe into dancer Giovanni Pernice was also said to be a factor in the decision.
Queen Camilla is a Strictly fan and an insider said: “She found the idea of hosting at the Palace exciting.
“But it was felt by some that the decision to welcome the show might come to be seen in a negative light.”
Italian pro Giovanni, who quit in May, has strenuously denied abusive or threatening behaviour when teaching his celeb partners.
