Morning Live’s Gethin Jones left mortified after he’s shut down by colleague and ‘silenced’ live on air
MORNING Live star Gethin Jones was left completely mortified by his TV presenter colleagues after he was shut down live on air.
The former Blue Peter star was kicked out of the daytime studio as he was sent to cover Wimbledon.
Helen Skelton and Sara Davies were on hand to present the BBC One show from Auntie's Media City HQ.
They appeared live on BBC Breakfast with Jon Kay and Sally Nugent to give viewers a preview of what was coming up in the show.
Amongst the segments, Gethin popped up on the small screen, from the world famous tennis championships.
Helen declared: "We've served him an eviction notice and sent him to Wimbledon on a gloriously ... oh no, no sun there yet!"

She told how Gethin was by Centre Court to get all the behind-the-scenes action from the Grand Slam tournament.
The host was also left confused as she read from the teleprompter and said that he would look into how a rubber duck could help predict the weather.
But as she proceeded to hand back to the BBC Breakfast anchors, she couldn't help but make a dig at Jon in his sand coloured summer suit.
Helen said: "May I say Jon Kay, you are looking very continental today, you dress for the hopeful weather."
Jon then turned to his own co-host Sally Nugent, as he remarked: "Yes, I'll say I was a little optimistic, don't you?"
However, Sally then couldn't help but notice how uninvolved Gethin was within the teaser segment.
"Girls, I love the fact you've shown us Gethin, but you didn't let him speak," the breakfast presenter noted.
Both Helen Skelton and Sara Davies roared with laughter at the expense of their Morning Live co-star.
"Not a chance!", exclaimed the Dragon's Den personality as the camera cut back to Gethin who looked annoyed and exasperated.
Meanwhile, the Springtime On The Farm presenter appeared more relaxed than ever as she put her feet up on the sofa set.
Let's do this every morning shall we? Gethin gagged on BBC One!
Jon Kay
It seemed that Jon was enjoying the moment as he laughed: "Let's do this every morning shall we? Gethin gagged on BBC One!"
However, Jon later clarified that he will be allowed a say, once his show goes out on the airwaves.
He added: "We will let him speak, after 9:30 when Morning Live returns."
