GLASTONBURY fans have been left furious after a series of sound issues affected SZA’s headline performance.
The American singer, 34, performed on Worthy Farm's iconic Pyramid Stage, but appeared to have problems with her microphone as she struggled to draw in a crowd.
Festival goers flocked to watch England’s Euro match leaving her with a noticeably smaller than usual crowd.
Those who did watch her though weren’t happy about the sound and fans tuning in at home rushed to comment on it.
One person raged: “Justice for sza!! what have glastonbury done to her mic to make her vocals sound this way, this is excruciating.”
A second said: “Nah #Glastonbury sound engineers will pay for their crimes! This is SZA how she sounded last night...when her mic is tuned properly. I feel bad for her.”
While a third remarked: “Why are the backing singers crystal clear and SZA sounds like she’s singing through one of these???”
“Me after hyping SZA up to my mum and dad for months and then her sounding like she's singing into a fan,” added a fourth.
SZA, who closed the festival, played hits including Love Galore, F2F, I Hate U and Kiss Me More, her collaboration with Doja Cat, which was interspersed with Prince's Kiss.
The star, whose real name is Solana Rowe, appeared on stage on an elevated podium to open her show with her Travis Scott collaboration Love Galore.
She was lowered on to the stage which was adorned with elaborate pillars and a large insect, which she sat on for her rendition of ballad Drew Barrymore.
Concluding her show, she said: "Glastonbury, I was so nervous to be here with you today.
"I'm so grateful, you have my deepest love and my deepest respect. I love you always, god bless you.
"Get home safely, my name is SZA, good night.”
SZA wasn’t the only star plagued with sound issues though, fans weren’t happy about Shania Twain’s Pyramid Stage slot.
Many complained about watching it home, with one person writing: "Shania Twain, I am gutted for her. So looked forward to her set but all my energy is willing her to end it. Not sure if it is sound problems or her but it is very sad to see.”

Another said: "The sound is muddy, the keys are muddled and the vocals are all over the place. I hope it’s better in person, cos this TV sound is horrendous."
Dua Lipa also suffered some bad luck due to a sound delay as part of the BBC’s broadcast of the coverage on some services.
She was falsely accused of lip syncing during her set, but a source told us: Dua’s vocals were 100 per cent live.
"She had worked for years to that moment and would never dream of miming to her fans.”
