Love Island fans beg bosses to axe Joey Essex after showdown with Omar over Grace

Love Island fans have called for Joey Essex to be axed after he confronted Omar Nyame over Grace Jackson.

In awkward scenes the Towie star, 35, erupted after gorgeous Grace, 25, revealed Omar had relentlessly kept up some flirty banter.

Those watching at home were not impressed and took to social media to complain about Joey’s behaviour.

One person said: “I need Joey out. That’s really p*****d me off. Who does he think he is?”

Another added: “Get joey essex out my villa.”

While a third remarked: “Joey needs to get out tf!!”

Tensions rose as Joey pulled Omar for a chat, said: “Obviously mate, you’ve got to understand I am hearing things…Grace has told me you’ve said a few things. She’s told you to behave….apparently you’ve been flirting with her.”

Omar interrupted: “But at the same time I’m going about my business…then I’m asking what’s been said and I ain’t being told what’s been said. So, that’s annoying me even more now…”

Joey told him: “I’m not trying to embarrass you.”

Hitting back, Omar replied: “But in the same breath you’re saying it’s no competition, it's no competition and I’m thinking, I ain’t even trying to compete with you. Why did you say it then?”

The Sun told last week how tempers flared and their fellow islanders had to full them apart.

Joey has rekindled his romance with model Grace, who he dated briefly last year after meeting in Ibiza.

It means their relationship has moved fast, with producers forced to leave some raunchy scenes out in the edit.

But viewers haven't warmed to their storyline - with some claiming they have been together the whole time.
