Love Island’s Samantha Kenny breaks down in tears as she’s reunited with her family in the UK after brutal dumping

DUMPED Love Island star Samantha Kenny had a teary reunion with her family as she returned to the UK after being axed from the villa.

Samantha and her mum greeted each other with a big hug in Liverpool less than 24 hours after viewers watched her leave the show.

The makeup artist's homecoming was a low-key affair with her dressed in a comfy grey tracksuit, shades and her hair tied back in a bun.

She pulled her white suitcase emblazoned with her name on it in the famous Love Island font.

Taking to Instagram tonight, Samantha thanked fans for their support.

She wrote: "Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the support I have received. I am so so happy to be home with the people who love me the most.

"I don’t know what I would have done without the girls in the villa the past week, every single one of them are so special and I will be supporting them every step of the way 🫶🏼 so excited for the next chapter in my life."

Viewers were devastated to see her leave the villa and have been calling for her return in Casa Amor later in the series.

Her relatives have hit out at her treatment on the show after she was ditched by Joey Essex in favour of his bombshell ex-girlfriend Grace Jackson.

Samantha's sister Toni slammed ITV after a "tough week", while also hitting out at her love rival Grace.

Toni wrote on Instagram: "ITV have a lot to answer for."

A fan commented: "Could name many other girls that should have been dumped than her."

Toni replied: "So could I...one of them being Grace! Slimy."

While another follower echoed: "Grace needs to be voted out, she has mean girl vibes, you can tell she's enjoying it."

Sam's sister responded: "Totally agree!"

Toni shared a touching photo of her and Samantha on her Instagram Stories and wrote: ";No comment, shame on you ITV is all I have to say."

Following her departure, Samantha said: "Obviously I am devastated to leave all of the girls behind but I am very excited now to see what my future holds and look forward to seeing what is next.

"I was true to myself and didn't feel like it was a waste of my time because I followed what I felt was right for me.

"When it comes to Joey, I think if I knew what I know now, I perhaps would have done things differently."

Samantha made the mistake of putting all her eggs in one basket even though another lad caught her eye.

"Ronnie’s more my type than Joey was," she said. "But I feel like Ronnie didn’t pursue anything with me because he didn’t want to go up against Joey."

On last night's show, Sam said her highlight was making such good friends, while other aspects of her experience were "s***e".

When it was revealed Sam would be leaving, Nicole Samuel burst into tears and couldn't stop as she prepared to lose her villa best pal.
