Gogglebox star Daniel Lustig reveals ‘real reason’ behind split with husband Stephen – and why they still live together
Daniel opened up about life with his ex after confirming their split in April
GOGGLEBOX’s Daniel Lustig has opened up about his shocking split from husband Stephen Webb - as his ex prepares to appear on Celebs Go Dating.
The couple confirmed in April that, after a six-year marriage and 11-year relationship, they had decided to divorce.

Daniel and Stephen had privately separated months before the split came to light.
Speaking on podcast , Daniel confirmed that despite the break-up, the pair were still living together, and divulged the reason behind the split.
“We had a really good innings,” he said of their marriage.
“It was really good for a really long time and then it kind of petered off, and then we kind of decided the best thing was to end as friends.”

“We're work colleagues, and partners at work as well, and our basis of our relationship has always been friendship as well,” he added.
“We get on better now than we did when we were together, so it's fine.
“I know for a lot of people they probably can't understand it, but it has worked out for us.”
Daniel and Stephen are both hairdressers by trade, and together own two salons in West Sussex, as well as their home.

Speaking highly of the relationship, Daniel said he and Stephen had worked really hard for the decade they were together.
“People always said we were polar opposites. We were like chalk and cheese,” he said, admitting that it was these differences that ultimately led to their relationship breakdown.

“'It gets to the point where you get to a certain age and you realise, you know, that you are so different and your foundations are different,” he said.
“I think for us, it was just wise to separate. You've got to have the foundations in, haven't you. If your foundations are different, then you're a bit wobbly.”
Since the split, Stephen has signed on to star in the next series of Celebs Go Dating, joining Love Island’s Chris Taylor, MAFS UK’s Ella Morgan, and Coronation Street’s Helen Flanagan.
