They're dedicating an entire night of prime time telly to Jane McDonald.

Singer Jane, 61, will appear on screen with back-to-back episodes of her most memorable shows for the channel.

The move comes as execs at Channel 5 brace for a dip in ratings thanks to UEFA Euro 2024 coverage.

A TV insider said: "Channel 5 know where the majority of Sunday's audience will be - and it's not with them.

"Instead of trying to compete with the football they've instead decided to rerun episodes of Jane McDonald.

"She's a popular and trusted draw for the channel and will still pull in numbers."

It's not the first time C5 have done something like this, with programmers playing The Emoji Movie on the day of Queen Elizabeth II's funeral as the country tuned into the BBC, ITV and Sky News.

Jane's marathon kicks off at 4:45pm with an episode of her No Place Like Home series.

Tenerife with Jane McDonald follows at 6:15pm with the night wrapping up with Jane and Friends.
