This Morning stars pay tribute to show doctor Michael Mosley as body is found in search for missing medic

STARS of ITV and This Morning have paid tribute to show doctor Michael Mosley.
His wife Clare tragically confirmed her "brilliant" and "wonderful" husband had been found dead.

This was after Greek police believed the body found was that of the missing TV doctor.
Major channels, shows and showbiz names have since flocked to social media to share their memories of the TV star.
Former This Morning panelist and TALK presenter Julia Hartley Brewer was one of the first to pay tribute to the TV doctor.
She wrote: "This is very sad news."

Before adding: "I interviewed Michael Mosley a few times about his Fast800 diet and he was an absolutely lovely man. My condolences to his family."
The official account of This Morning on X - formerly known as Twitter - wrote a heartfelt tribute to the expert on their profile.
The account wrote: "We’re all heartbroken to hear that Michael Mosley has died at the age of 67.
"His wife Clare has paid tribute to her "wonderful, funny, kind and brilliant husband”. Everyone at This Morning is thinking of Clare, their four children and the rest of Michael’s family and friends at this extremely sad time."

Channel 4 also posted an emotional graphic on their account as fans flocked to pay tribute.
The commercial broadcaster wrote: "All of us at Channel 4 are deeply saddened by the news of Michael's death.
"Our thoughts and condolences go out to Clare and their family. Michael was passionate about using his medical knowledge to help the nation live healthily."
They added: "We are proud of the inspiring and engaging programmes he made for us and feel privileged to have worked with him. Michael will be greatly missed by both colleagues and viewers."
Who is Dr Michael Mosley?

DR MICHAEL Mosley is a TV presenter and health expert known for his work with the BBC - with regular appearances on The One Show.
He is a diet expert who advocated for intermittent fasting, low-carb diets and has written books promoting keto.
Born in India, he studied philosophy, politics and economics and worked as a banker before graduating from medical school.
He joined the BBC in 1985 as an assistant producer, and quickly rose through the ranks - becoming a popular presenter.
Dr Michael worked on programmes such The Human Face with Professor Robert Winston - and Inventions that Changed The World with Jeremy Clarkson.
Eventually fronting his own shows and regularly appearing on breakfast television, he gained a reputation as a diet guru.
He also hosted the BBC podcast Just One Thing.
The TV star is married to Clare Bailey, a GP, and they have four children.
Other stars from the world of showbiz took to social media as they paid their respects after hearing the devastating news.
Sun columnist Piers Morgan, who previously presented ITV's flagship breakfast show Good Morning Britain, wrote: "Body found in search for TV doctor Michael Mosley on Greek island of Symi. Very sad development."
Longtime GMTV presenter Anthea Turner posted on Instagram: "I know you’ve been following Dr Michael Mosley’s story I’ve been glued to every update but this was the tragic news we all feared.
"With so much passion and a cheeky smile on his face he spent his life encouraging us all to make healthy choices.
"He wanted everyone to live a longer, better, more fulfilled life. His family will be broken, thinking of them and his friends on Symi."
Celebrity Chef Jamie Oliver also paid tribute on the platform as he said: "Rest in peace Michael Mosley.
"Absolutely devastating news about the sad loss of fellow tv presenter Michael Mosley today. What a wonderfully sweet, kind and gentle man he was.
"He did such a lot of good for public health with his TV shows and research. He was a curious investigator, producer and presenter and often changed the conversation around many public health issues for the better."
He added: "He will be sadly missed….love and thoughts to Claire and all of his family 🙏🏼 jamie o xx."

WEDNESDAY JUNE 5
- 1.30pm: Dr Mosley decides to walk home alone to his holiday home in the town of Symi after going for a swim at a beach
- 1.50pm: The walk home is said to take around 20 minutes from Saint Nikolaos beach despite the doctor never making it back
- 1.52pm: CCTV catches Dr Mosley walking past a shop in Pedi
- Approx 2.20pm: Witnesses claim to have seen Dr Mosley talking to an elderly man in the town with one other person present
- 2.30pm-5pm: Doc was last seen on a house camera on a treacherous path heading towards the Agia Marina
- 7.30pm: Dr Mosley's wife, Dr Clare Bailey, raises the alarm and calls cops
THURSDAY JUNE 6
- 10.30am: Police file missing person report and the search gets underway
- 11am: Police appeal for any information
- 2pm: Six firefighters, a vehicle and a drone team were all seen arriving in Symi from Rhodes
- 7pm: Helicopters deployed over the island
- 8pm: First day of the search called off for the night
FRIDAY JUNE 7
- 7am Extra police squadrons, coast guard officials, specially-trained sniffer dogs and military helicopters helped in the search
- 5pm The first CCTV images are released of Dr Mosley with his umbrella near the Blue Corner bar
SATURDAY JUNE 8
- 7am Police launch a search of a new area of around 7km as they step up the hunt
- 10.50am: New CCTV is released showing Mosley leaving Pedi and heading towards mountainous path
- 11am Symi's mayor says 'no chance' search will be called off until he is found
- 12pm Mosley's wife Clare says the family will 'not lose hope' but confesses the last few days have been 'unbearable'
- 3pm A helicopter joins the search effort in the mountains
SUNDAY JUNE 9
- 10.50am Body found in the search close to caves known as 'The Abyss'
- 11am Police say they believe the body to be that of Dr Mosley
Meanwhile, TV presenter and The Sun columnist Ulrika Jonsson took to her Instagram story where she posted a screenshot of the star in action.
She wrote: "Such tragic news. What [a] lovely, lovely man. Thinking of his family."
Loose Women presenter Kaye Adams wrote: "So sad to hear the news about Dr Michael Moseley. We really have lost one of the good guys.
"I’ve interviewed him countless times over the years and he was always the same- kind, interesting, interested and warm. Heartfelt condolences to his loved ones."

Her former co-star panelist Katie Price also posted a picture of the star onto her story with the caption: "RIP."
Big Brother star and ITV regular Narinder Kaur said: "Terribly sad news...my heart goes out to his whole family. What a dreadful time for them. I hope they have all the support they need right now."
His fellow Jeremy Vine on Channel 5 pundit Mike Parry posted: "Terribly sad to have just learnt that TV Doc Michael Mosley's body has been found in a deep cave on the Greek Island of Symi.
"He was a very likeable and informative newspaper and TV journalist. Thoughts go out to his family."
Vine himself also paid tribute to his colleague as he admitted he will be missed by BBC Radio 2.
The broadcaster gushed: "What an amazing man #DrMichaelMosley was. Friendly, open, modest, highly intelligent but also a born communicator — so rare. An adult mind, a child's curiosity. He did everything with enthusiasm. We're all going to miss him so much @BBCRadio2."
Michael's BBC Two co-star Professor Alice Roberts wrote: "The fragility of life is so shocking.
"I’ve known Michael Mosley for many years - as a tv producer specialising in science and medicine. He was the executive producer of my 2009 series Human Journey."
