Danny Jones, Martin Bell, Sarah Jane Mee and Michael Sheen stepped up to face The Chaser, but viewers were left unimpressed.

The Chase fans took to social media and complained about their quiz skills and how "painful" the show was to watch.

Danny having competed in SoccerAid previously, was the first player to get caught and eliminated after failing to answer enough questions correctly.

Taking to X one viewer fumed: "This is painful to watch, are these people really this stupid? #thechase."

A second user added: "Well, that's me switching off. Good heavens. Embarrassing. #TheChase."

"WHAT IS THIS TEAM HONEST TO GOD #thechase”, a third person groaned.

After the Mcfly sensation was eliminated, another fan chimed: "@michaelsheen and @skysarahjane have got a lot of heavy lifting to do #thechase."

Former Member of Parliament Martin managed to get £500 and Sky News presenter Sarah Jane also made it through to the final.

Hollywood legend Michael gave an impressive performance and managed to increase the jackpot to £72,500.

Martin, Sarah Jane and  Michael all managed to guess 21 questions correctly and get through to the finals.

Before Danny's elimination, he had a funny moment with Bradley.

During their brief chat, Bradley and Danny reminisced on his stint on SoccerAid in 2020, before turning their attention to his musical career where he found stardom.

Bradley asked several quick-fire questions on how the band became so popular, including how the band got their name.

Danny explained that the band's name came because they were huge fans of Back to the Future, whose lead character is called Marty McFly.

This revelation surprised Bradley who then went on to ask the star a silly question.

In the repeat episode which originally aired last year, the 64-year-old asked Danny what his favourite song the band had released was.

This left Danny wracking his brain to settle on an answer, before choosing one of their hit tracks Obviously.

However, this did not particularly fly with Bradley, who seemingly did not know the song.

As a result,  the baffled ITV host asked: "Obviously, what?" which led to a chorus of laughter from Danny and the in-studio audience.

After a few seconds of awkward silence, the penny dropped for Bradley, who then realised that "Obviously" was the name of the song.

This led to Bradley bursting into laughter and walking out of his spotlight towards Danny, who was in stitches.

Bradley and Danny had a quick hug as he tried to smooth out his hilarious mistake to make up for the awkward blunder.
