Laura Hamilton targeted by ‘disgusting’ scammers using late Jonnie Irwin’s name to con fans out of money
LAURA Hamilton has revealed she's been targeted by 'disgusting' scammers to con her fans out of money.
The A Place in the Sun presenter was forced to issue a plea to fans to block fake accounts pretending to be her last year.
But now the 42-year-old has told The Sun how scammers have taken a step further and are conning her followers out of money.
It comes after she ran the London Marathon earlier this year in aide of the WellChild charity.
The Channel 4 star had ran the annual event in honour of Jonnie Irwin - her colleague who tragically died with cancer earlier this year.
Laura told us: "I raised five and a half grand for them, but after I ran the marathon there were people saying 'do you know there are people setting up scam pages saying 'I'm still fundraising for the marathon' and still trying to get donations.

"They weren't legitimately for the charity and that just makes me feel sick that people were willing to do that when I was running.
"I had an official Just Giving page and then there are scammers that are sucking people in saying 'oh yeah we're still trying to fundraise' and that is so terrible."
The mum-of-two previously told her fans to block and report the scammers to the police in an emotional video.
"If you look at my Instagram page it says this is my only page, it's just madness that people seem to do it and very frustrating."
