Tonight, his father, vicar Charles was on a mission to prove that the hit and run tha tinjured him in the first place was ultimately responsible for his death.

Viewers know Ruby Fox-Miligan mowed Ethan down in revenge for leaving her son Nicky to die in a car accident.

Grief-stricken Charles called the police and told them Ethan had clearly been murdered by whoever was responsible for the hit and run.

The struggling vicar even refused to tell Ethan’s mum and sister about his death.

Later in the pub he came across Caleb, a guilty Ruby and Aaron - and promptly accused them all of killing Ethan.

“One of you killed my boy,” Charles said as Caleb tried to insist no-one harmed him.

Ruby called a halt to Charles’ words and lied to him, saying: “I wanted Ethan to pay for what he did to Nicky.

“I’m not going to stand here and pretend otherwise. But I would not wish this on my worst enemy. I really am so sorry for your loss.”

Caleb got Ruby out of there and confronted her about nearly confessing to what she did.

But none of it mattered and she decided to tell Nicky the truth.
