‘You’ll have to wait and see’ teases Waterloo Road’s Adam Thomas as he hints at dead character’s return

ADAM Thomas has hinted that a character who died on Waterloo Road years ago might be making a comeback.

The actor, who plays Donte Charles on the BBC drama, recently shared a cheeky snap with a former star from the show.

Adam sported a huge grin in the selfie he snapped with Jason Done, formerly known as Waterloo Road's Tom Clarkson.

He shared that Tom was his favourite character on the show, and slyly alluded to the fact that he might make a reappearance 11 years on from his character being axed.

"Forget the northern lights … what about these northern stars !! Hahahaha," Adam joked.

"Who would love to see him back at Waterloo Road? Or is he coming back ?? You will just have to wait and see…"

He went on to gush about his friend's acting skills, saying: "Love this guy too much was always and still is, one of the few I look up to in this business… the kindest man you will meet!

"Everyone always asks who was my favourite character in Waterloo road! Well it’s Tom Clarkson! What a guy love ya."

The teacher died while trying to talk a troubled teen down from a ledge.

Tom tripped while helping Kyle off the roof and ended up having a fatal fall.

Several hopeful fans flocked to the comments begging soap bosses to resurrect Tom.

One Waterloo Road viewer pleaded: "Bring him back, we’ll all act like he never died!"

Another chimed in: "Tom is gonna be the Cindy Beale of Waterloo Road and return from the dead I am begging!"

A third joked: "He was just having a nap when he fell off that building, he ain’t dead."

However, others thought the idea was ridiculous.

One laughed: "There is NO WAY they’ll bring Tom back from the dead."

Another agreed: "As much as I would like to see Jason Done back at Waterloo Road. Unfortunately his character Tom Clarke died after falling off the roof. I wish that was not the case so that his character could return as the dynamic with returning characters like Donte would be amazing!"
