The troll wrote on the social media platform: "I won’t watch @this morning if @AlisonHammond is on it does my head in."

Alison simply replied to their tweet with a laughing face sticker of herself.

The Bake Off star presents the ITV show alongside Dermot O'Leary every Friday.

Many rushed to share their love and support towards the Big Brother legend.

One replied to Alison's post with: "I’m a big fan of Alison. And always look forward to today’s and the holidays when she is on with dermot x."

A second chimed in: "I love Dermot and Alison."

"I'd watch anything and everything if you are on it," a third tweeted back.

It comes after Alison was forced to clap back at criticism over her For The Love Of Dogs hosting role.

She's had a tough time since taking over from the late Paul O'Grady, 67.

Last week some ITV viewers stated "we can't take much more of this" as they threatened to turn of their screens.

Alison was later seen liking kind posts from fans on X.

One had taken to the platform to write: "Well I think Alison is doing a great job at the filling big boots left by Paul. There's never going to be a host 'everyone' agrees on. Just like any long running show when the host changes."

Another wrote how she was "doing a great job @Battersea_ love having a laugh and a cry with you every week."

It came shortly after rumours surfaced that the commercial network was planning to axe the star after her first series on the show.

A spokesperson for the channel hit back at the claims this week and said: "Any suggestion that conversations at decision-making level regarding the future of Alison's role on For the Love of Dogs have been held within ITV or between the production team and Battersea are entirely without foundation.

"This new series is in the middle of its run and standard practice means no meaningful assessment of future plans would be made at this stage.

The spokesperson added to : "Everyone's really pleased with the way Alison has brought her warmth and enthusiasm to the show and we hope viewers continue to enjoy it over the next month on ITV1 and on ITVX."

Meanwhile Alison's love life has also been talk of the town.

The star's relationship with Russian masseuse David Putman was revealed last month.
