IAN Beale makes a heartbreaking discovery about partner Cindy in EastEnders.
Viewers of the BBC soap were left stunned last year when it was revealed the former couple had reunited while abroad.
The pair have quite the history, having had twins Lucy and Peter together before Cindy tried to have Ian killed by a hitman so she could claim custody of their children.
But somehow, they had managed to put their past behind them and rekindle their romance, but a further curveball came when they returned to Walford and discovered her former husband George Knight was living their with her daughters, Anna and Gina.
Cindy and Ian decided to stay so she could try and make amends with her estranged children, but there was clearly still unfinished business between her and George too.
George has confided in Cindy on a number of occasions recently after discovering the truth about his birth parents and his heritage, rather than speaking to his partner Elaine Peacock.
