MONTY Don couldn't help but leave fans scratching their heads after he popped on a baggy suit for a special TV appearance.
The green-fingered star scrubbed up to host BBC2's RHS Chelsea Flower Show round-up programme, but viewers were unsure of his outfit.
Monty, 68, ditched the scruffy trousers, open-necked shirt and braces he is known to wear on Gardeners' World for a navy suit and tie.
Unfortunately, however, it looked far too big.
Fans were tickled by his getup and they found themselves comparing Monty to a "bus conductor". Some even wondered if it was secondhand.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan said: "Monty Don's turned up dressed as a bus conductor."

Another added: "Nice to see Monty Don supporting the local bring and buy sales with his choice of jacket!"
A third wrote: "Oh sweet Monty Don is lovely, but he does not scrub up well. That Chelsea jacket is really bad."
And a fourth even mused: "Monty Don's suit is quite literally all over him like a bad suit."
Monty is well-loved by Gardeners' World fans and famed for his horticultural knowledge and writing.

He is also a big fan of dogs, with his pets regularly appearing on the BBC show.
But sadly, Monty lost his pet mutt Nell - aka Nellie - to cancer in October last year.
Earlier this month, Monty shared a touching tribute to Nell while pottering around in his own garden.
The star, who still has dogs Ned and Patti, took to Instagram to share a picture of a pot filled with gorgeous purple tulips.
At the bottom of the clay vase was a small, black engraving which was in the shape of a Golden Retriever.
Sharing the memorial snap, Monty also ensured fans could spot the name 'Nell' alongside it.
Monty commented on his post: "The Nell pot (trickier to read, but it's there)."
More than 21,000 of his followers liked the post, while hundreds more rushed to send their condolences to Monty.
Who is Monty Don's wife Sarah?
Monty met his wife Sarah while studying at university and they married on July 29, 1983.
The pair ran their own couture costume jewellery business from the early 80s to 1987.
Their pieces were sold in 30 countries worlwide, featured in Vogue, and boasted celebrity fans including the now late Princess Diana and Michael Jackson.
The brand - Monty Don Jewellery - was stocked in Harrods and Harvey Nichols, and the couple went on to open their own store in London's exclusive Knightsbridge.
Monty previously told the Independent that Sarah was “75 per cent of the designing brains” while he was the salesman.
Sadly, the couple's business went under in 1987 following the Wall Street Crash and they faced bankruptcy.
However, since then, Sarah has switched her attention to writing and is an author.
Monty, meanwhile, has forged his own successful career as a horticultural expert, writer and TV presenter.
One fan wrote: "What a sweet tribute. Beautiful flowers for a beautiful girl. 💜"
While another added: "Perfect memorial to a memorable Nell ❤️."
