DAYTIME TV fans have gone wild as their 'favourite rival' presenter reunited for a boozy night out.

Fans of Simon Rimmer and Matt Tebbutt were stunned as the two stars enjoyed a night out together.

Simon, who presents Sunday Brunch on Channel 4, could be seen pulling a face with Saturday Kitchen's Matt.

Posting a selfie on social media, Simon said: "When you end up drinking too much with your @saturday.kitchen rival @matt.tebbutt after @pubinthepark."

Gobsmacked fans flooded the 61-year-old with comments as one said: "Is that why Matt wasn’t on the TV this Saturday morning?"

A second wrote: "My weekend favourites on one pic."

"Love this. You two need a show," said a third.

While a fourth commented: "Is that why Matt wasn’t on the TV this Saturday morning?"

Simon, 61, has hosted Sunday Brunch since it began in 2012 alongside Tim Lovejoy.

The show, which has become a staple of Channel 4's schedule, features celebrity guests as well as live cooking segments.

Saturday Kitchen follows the same format and was originally presented by Gregg Wallace when it launched in 2002.

James Martin took over in latter years before Matt Tebbutt became the show's permanent host in 2016.
