Sam Thompson set to propose to Zara McDermott ‘in weeks’ as couple plan star-studded Ibiza wedding

MADE in Chelsea's Sam Thompson is "very close" to proposing to Zara McDermott - with the pair already talking about getting married "all the time."

Sources have claimed the pair could soon say I Do in the stunning settings of party island Ibiza.

The White Isle is much-loved by the former Love Island beauty, and was even the subject of her latest BBC documentary, Ibiza: Secrets of the Party Island.

Now claim the couple's engagement is soon on the cards and reported: "Insiders say Sam is very close to proposing to Zara and think he will do it by the summer as they talk about getting married all the time and what their wedding would be like.

"They’re torn over having a traditional English wedding or doing something abroad in somewhere like Ibiza and just having all their friends and family out there for a few days.

"They both love a party and want to be able to celebrate in style."

They added how Zara, 27, would be in full-on "Bridezilla" mode as soon as she was engaged.

The pair have been dating since August 2019 - after Zara slid into Sam's DMs.

The Sun has gone to both Sam, 31, and Zara's reps for comment.

No stress

I'm A Celeb star Sam has been candid in addressing his plans for a lasting future with Zara.

After rumours spread of them being secretly engaged, Sam told last month: "If you know that someone is the one... you know, it's more so a time thing.

"Zara is as busy or more busy than I am, she's absolutely flying and she doesn't have time to plan a wedding and I don't either at the moment.

"I know I want to be with her and she wants to be with me so that's good enough at the moment."

Young love

It came just a year after Zara shot to fame on the fourth series of Love Island in 2018.

The couple finally confirmed their romance in 2019, after leaving flirty comments underneath each other’s Instagram images which saw Zara write “I love you” under a topless snap of Sam. 

Slip up

The Sun revealed that the pair called it quits after eight months together in 2019m, after Zara had an affair with a co-star on the Celebrity X Factor.

Zara posted a public statement to her Instagram followers after the scandal and admitted: “A huge mistake I made a year ago has recently come to light and I want to face this head on.

"I don't condone being unfaithful and I made a huge mistake at a time in my life where I was hugely selfish and immature.

“I want to apologise to my Sam for everything I have put him through, for the pain, the embarrassment, the anger and the hurt.” 

Zara signed off the note stating: “I love you Sam. Forever.” 

Yet, since then, the pair have been going from strength to strength and now live together in a stunning west London pad.
