Good Morning Britain’s Kate Garraway to miss show AGAIN in presenter shake-up – with replacement revealed

KATE Garraway will be missing again from her Good Morning Britain duties tomorrow.

Kate usually appears either as the lead presenter on Thursdays, or as newsreader if Susanna Reid is on the main desk.

However, on today's episode, it was confirmed Ranvir Singh will be taking over central presenting duties tomorrow instead.

The star has previously been absent from her weekly duties, with Charlotte Hawkins replacing her for a date in April.

The Sun Online has reached out to ITV for comment.

A Tough Year

It has been a tough year for Kate, who lost her husband Derek Draper, also 56, back in January after four years of health struggles triggered by Covid.

The former political lobbyist became the nation's longest Covid patient after spending 13 months in hospital.

The couple shared two children, Darcy, 18, and Billy, 14.

She had previously told The Sun about the huge medical fees she faced as she confessed "there's no special treatment because I'm on TV".

Kate has been left financially crippled by Derek’s bills, which totalled £16,000 a month just for his basic care and mobility support.

She later had to raid her personal pension fund to help clear the eye watering £800k debt of covering Derek’s medical and care bills.

During a segment on GMB, Kate told a guest, who has had to pay £15k for their own private healthcare: “You need every penny of that pension. I'm doing something similar myself.

"I've just had to withdraw the bit you can tax-free for my pension to pay belated bills for my husband that passed away.

“I am ashamed of the fact that I am in debt because I have an incredible job that I love, that's very well paid.

“I’m not a carer travelling miles, paying their own transport to go and help somebody for minimum wage.

"I’m somebody that is very well paid and so I just feel a shame that I couldn’t make it work.”
