EMMERDALE fans think they have rumbled the real reason behind the shock re-appearance of Dawn Taylor's mum.
Rose, who hadn't seen Dawn since she was just a baby, came face-to-face with her daughter, and ex-hubby Will, in the corridors of Hotten General Hospital.
The reception was initially frosty as Dawn shunned her mum for abandoning her as a baby.
Dawn has long associated her many problems growing up, including her rampant drug addiction, to her mother abandoning her.
Later, after much consideration, Dawn agreed to meet up with her mum and miraculously found it in her heart to ask her to move into her home, Kim Tate's mega mansion country pile, Home Farm, much to the displeasure of Kim and her husband, Rose's ex Will.
This all happened just as Dawn and her partner Billy were left absolutely floored when they discovered that their baby son Evan was gravely ill.

Evan was diagnosed with leukaemia in heartbreaking scenes and Dawn and Billy have remained by his bedside ever since as he fights on in the hospital.
Now, some fans have begun to speculate that Evan's condition is linked to the real reason that Rose has been introduced in Emmerdale.
Predictions have been cast which has seen some believe that Rose could be crucial in Evan's recover.
Theories have suggested that Evan will require a bone marrow transport and that Rose will be the closest match to the tot.

Discussing online, one superfan said: "I reckon they have brought dawn's mum back, as the baby will need a bone marrow transplant, and she will be the match for him."
In agreement, another viewer conquered: "A few people have speculated on that yes. It does seem very likely considering she just randomly appears and within a week has her feet under the table at Home Farm just as the Leukaemia storyline hits.
"Not very subtle if that is the route they go down."
Someone else pointed out how that storyline had also just been visited with Ryan and Gail's long-lost son who was suffering from cancer.
They penned: "How boring, another copycat storyline. Ryan - Charity's late found son - and his late found son who needed a transplant. I didn't watch the rest of the boring story so I don't know what the outcome was."
Branding the possibility "unacceptable", they went on to fume: "Really lazy writing."
