Although she freely admits to being "bonkers", Antonia has built up hundreds of clients while operating from her home in Cornwall.

Her career started off on a much different footing, though, and she was a regular on TV screens.

Antonia hosted quiz show Sweet and Sassy during the early 2000s before starring as a Sky gameshow host in a career that saw her work alongside the likes of Keith Lemon.

But despite having a "mainstream" upbringing, she recalls how she became "very alternative" overnight.

She told The Sun: "It was very unexpected, all of this. I was really not into healing or magic.

"Maybe I had a couple of books on crystals, and thought about it a little bit when I was much younger.

"When my my granddad died, I knew before I was first told as he came to me as I was sleeping. He sort of said goodbye to me in the night.

"Then I remember my mum came and woke me up in the morning and told me he'd passed - but I just already knew.

'I told a police officer I was a wizard'

"That was that that was one of the earliest sort of things that happened to me, but it really sort of stemmed from."

It acted as a catalyst for Antonia to begin delving into books on energy healing before embarking on a five-day course.

Does 'energy healing' really work?

THE King has appointed a doctor promoting alternative medicine to oversee his health.

Michael Dixon, 71, is one of the country's most champions of unorthodox therapies and spent decades working in the NHS.

But do alternative therapies really work?

Dr Abrar Ibrahim, a GP at London's Hendon Hospital, says they can alleviate pain, stress and improve mood.

But she warns: "Look for providers who are fully trained, regulated and safe.

"And do not use them as a substitute for medical treatment."

But Professor Edzard Ernst, the author of Alternative Medicine, says: "If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is."

She also recalled pulling a "foot-long energetic parasite" from her friend's ear when in a restaurant toilet.

Now Antonia counts celebrities among her clients, including a former X Factor star whose throat she claims to have cleared of tonsillitis before removing a ghost from her London home.

Now the self-proclaimed wizard writes "healer" when filling in official documents.

She vividly remembers the first time she gave herself the title - to a police officer after being approached in her car.

Antonia said: "It was utterly ridiculous. I was stationary with my engine on and handbrake up while checking my maps app, but there had just been a change in the law so I was looking at my phone illegally.

"I got a 'ratatat' on my window and it was a police officer. They gave me some points and a fine and then I got sat in the police car and had to fill in these forms.

"The officer asked what I do for a living and I just said I was a wizard.

'I was never really into magic'

"I just thought 'do you know what, I'm gonna own it now', so I'm legally down on some forms as being a wizard by the police."

Celebrities who've quit fame for 'normal' jobs

SHOWBIZ life can be exhausting, so it's no wonder these down-to-earth stars have stepped away from fame to do everyday jobs.

Although it's unlikely Justin Bieber will deliver your next ASOS parcel, you might be surprised at these celebrity job-switchers.

Jason Manford

Iceland customers got a surprise when Jason Manford turned up to deliver their shopping.

The comedian was spotted smiling as he dished out boxes of food after the supermarket chain offered to make a donation to the NHS if he did a shift.

EastEnders' Katie Jarvis

Best known for playing Kat Slater's cousin Hayley in EastEnders, Katie Jarvis turned her hand to a new job when she took a break from acting and did a stint on the door at her local B&M.

JLS' JB Gill

When JB Gill took a break from screaming fans and slick dance routines, he craved the quiet life.

Now the JLS star is big in the farming game, specialising in prestigious KellyBronze turkeys.

Towie's Kirk Norcross

Downing cocktails at the Sugar Hut and being on camera 24/7 became too much for Towie star Kirk Norcross and now he favours a more peaceful life.

He's the boss of KN Jet Services, unblocking drains and leaving your drive spotless with his power washer.

Corrie's Ruxandra Porojnicu

Don't be surprised if Coronation Street's Alina Pop takes hands you a menu - hard-working star Ruxandra Porojnicu revealed she worked in a café alongside filming.

She charges £3,000 for clients , or £55-per-month for clients to receive multiple informational videos.

Antonia continued: "I'm very cutting edge in the work that I do, so I think I'm always going to be slightly fringe.

"But a lot of people are open to this, and things like 'Reiki' and 'chakras', and even yoga.

"In 2007, was sort of on the fringe side, so it's really wonderful that people are now much more open to this sort of work and and exploring different things."
