Laura, 42, arrived on the red carpet in the strapless gown, which showed off her sensational figure, as she prepared to celebrate ITV co-star Lorraine Kelly's gong.

The mum of one styled her brunette locks in an up-do and opted for dark eye make-up and baby pink lipgloss.

Yet when staying in the UK capital overnight, the weather presenter told how she suffered a wardrobe mishap which meant she slept in the party dress.

A clip played out showing Laura make-up free and arriving at Good Morning Britain ready for her shift.

She told how an issue with the "zip" was to blame - yet fellow GMB anchors Susanna Reid, 53, and Ed Balls, 57, were quick to playfully poke fun at her in a light-hearted segment.

Susanna said: "Laura, we're going to address what you came in to work wearing this morning,..."

Former Labour MP Ed then added: “I think it's the dress in this photo, just before 5 am this morning."

Mum of one Laura then sheepishly confessed: "Oh no, I’m so embarrassed."

Ed, continuing his questioning, added: "From the after party? Did you go all night?"

Laura was eager to set the record straight and said: "No I went to bed at a reasonable time.

"But I can’t unzip my dress without help so I realised when I got back to my room, no one could help me.

"So I had to sleep in the dress."

Laura then switched to a pretty multi-coloured tea-dress for her presenting role on Monday's show.

Sleeping beauty

Earlier this year, Laura suffered a similar embarrassing mishap at work after an awards ceremony.

Laura missed her GMB weather slot after over-sleeping following a boozy night at the 2022 Ultimate News Quiz.

The TV star's team of ITV colleagues scooped the trophy, she passed out fully clothed on her hotel bed and did not set an alarm.

Opening up on the mishap, Laura told the Monday Mile podcast: “We won, drank loads, I woke up. I had my phone on silent.

“My boss was trying to phone my phone.

“In the end they eventually got through to the taxi driver who went inside and asked them to call up to me.

“I answered the phone with a swear word.

“I turned up at GMB at half past six. I had to as I had the trophy.”
