A PLACE in the Sun host nearly called off a house search early after he received a surprising reaction to the first property he showed the house hunter and her best mate.
Ben Hillman was tasked with helping Liv from Wiltshire find her dream holiday home in sunny Spain - but things soon took an unexpected turn.
On Tuesday's (May 7) episode of A Place in the Sun, the episode nearly ended abruptly after Ben said his goodbyes and walked off-screen.
Channel 4 viewers were introduced to Liv, who was looking for a property on the west coast of Cyprus with a budget of £87,000.
However, there was wiggle room for a few thousand pounds, taking Liv's overall budget to £90,000.
With help from her good friend Daisy and Ben, the 20 year old wanted a property that could also accommodate her boyfriend.

During the instalment, Liv revealed that she would have liked a modern two-bedroom apartment close to the sea, with a communal pool and great outdoors.
The first property Ben showed the girls was a two-bedroom apartment in Argaka for £83,000.
The apartment seemed to be just what she was looking for, as it had a balcony with a great view, a good-sized living area and a modern airy touch to it.
As Liv walked into the living room, she was taken aback and said: "It is completely what I'm looking for."

Ben couldn’t believe his ears as he pretended to walk off, teasing: "See you later!"
The Channel 4 star then turned to the girls and added: "What a great start."
While standing on the balcony, the girls took in the breathtaking view as they said: "Beautiful!" with Daisy adding: "I think you've won with this one."
Later, Ben asked Liv: "Have I found you your perfect property?" to which the buyer's friend quickly replied: "You've found me my perfect holiday home!"
The property expert seemed pleased with his work as he joked that his job was done and addressed the camera, saying: "While I'm not one to count my chickens, I think I've cracked this one."
Ultimately, Ben showed Liv and Daisy four more properties he felt met their requirements.
The girls seemed impressed with most of them, but none seemed to live up to the same standards as the first property they had been shown.
However, in the end, the final apartment won their hearts.
The spacious living space was on the market for just under £94,000, and Liv wanted to make an offer of £80,000 because the kitchen area needed some work and the views were relatively poor.
At first, her offer was rejected, with the vendor saying they didn't want to drop below £85,000,
