RHOD Gilbert said he is “pinching himself” as he shared a poignant update on his cancer journey during an appearance on The One Show.
Welsh comedian Rhod, 55, announced he had been diagnosed with stage four cancer in July 2022.
In his April 29 visit to The One Show, Rhod updated hosts Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas on life after being given the all clear.
Rhod said: “[I’m] still all clear. Still in the care of the wonderful Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff. Still checks every few weeks, but at the moment, all clear.
“I feel wonderful. I mean, I’ve got lots of issues that I may or may not have for the rest of my life.
“Who cares? I’m here, I’m good and every night I’m pinching myself that I’m doing this, that I’m on stage performing, now two years after being diagnosed.”

The One Show interview comes following Rhod emotionally sharing his story while featuring on Celebrity Bake Off in March.
He was up against Danny Dyer, Leigh Francis and Yinka Bokinni in aid of Stand Up to Cancer.
Speaking on the programme, Rhod said: "For me, it is quite emotional just to be here because the fact is I am lucky to be here at all.
"I realised when I got cancer that I had been plodding along through my life thinking 'other people get cancer'."
He continued: "One in two of us is going to get some form of cancer in our lifetimes, that is pretty shocking and frightening.
"Things like this raise money for the research that goes into that treatment and I am living proof I guess, I am literally living proof."
