What is the golden buzzer on Britain's Got Talent?
The Golden Buzzer was introduced in series eight, and has been an integral part ever since.
If the Golden Buzzer is pressed it means that the contestant is automatically in the semi-finals.
This means they skip past the boot camp stage of the competition.
Each of the four judges, plus backstage hosts Ant & Dec, have one opportunity per series to give an act the Golden Buzzer.
For the 2024 series, the rule has been amended and the buzzer was pressed nine times.
