Plot twist
Cheryl's character was stayed when she was hit over the head with a photo frame.
Despite Heather's popularity with fans, BBC show bosses still decided to write her out.
At the time, a source told The Sun: "Heather’s character has been hugely popular over the years, but the decision has been taken to cut her out of the show before viewers tire of her."
Since then, she has continued a feud with EastEnders and recently branded the show "out of touch."
