The tragic break-up happened just four months after the birth of her youngest child Elsie, and in the middle of their home renovation.
Speaking on how things are now the Countryfile host said her brood is “doing great” and “there’s plenty to be positive about”.
Since the split, the proud mum of three has continued to co-parent with the 33-year-old.
Shortly after the breakup, Richie revealed he was dating Stephanie Thirkill, the daughter of millionaire Leeds Rhino president Andrew, whom Ritchie played for shortly after her split from Helen.

The couple are still together and welcomed a daughter in April last year, with many believing that Stephanie is currently pregnant again.
However, former Blue Peter presenter Helen seems to have taken her advice and is enjoying life to the fullest.
Shortly after her marriage split, Helen was runner-up on Strictly with partner Gorka Marquez.
She later filed for divorce, which was finalised in December 2023, and has also bought a new house.
MOVING ON
The TV personality has also made it clear that her past grievances will not keep her down.
According to OK! Magazine, the Channel 5 host is "reluctantly dipping her toe back into the dating pool" in the hope of finding "new adventures" rather than committing to marriage.

The source reports: "After her trust was broken, she’s nowhere near ready for an all-in long-term romance.
“But she’s not closing herself off to anything anymore. She’s open to new adventures in all respects and is making it her aim to say ‘yes’ to more things that excite her."
Currently, Helen and her three kids seem to be living their best lives.
The star regularly keeps her 500k Instagram followers updated on what is happening in her life while also keeping very busy in the TV industry.
