Marnie and Casey will no longer film for the new series

It means Marnie will not return for the new series alongside her X Factor star husband Casey Johnson, The Sun can exclusively reveal.

Marnie previously threatened to quit and hinted she was weighing up her future on the show in a recent podcast interview.

We can now confirm she has told bosses she will not be back – and therefore her husband Casey is out too.

A source told us: “Marnie was really unhappy with how the last series went down and how she came across.

“It made her miserable and stressed and she doesn’t want to go back. Casey is fully supportive and has had enough too.

“They want a fresh start and don’t feel like they need the show anymore.

MTV tried to persuade them to come back for another round, as the ratings for the last series skyrocketed with all the drama, but they aren’t interested.”

The drama initially kicked off between the pair after Charlotte’s heated dispute with co-star Marnie over a highchair.

The ex-pals were filming abroad on a group holiday when tensions boiled over.

Marnie had previously acknowledged a possibility of reconciliation but stated she wouldn’t be the one to initiate contact.

‘I’ve never said this before’ says Charlotte Crosby as she apologises to Geordie Shore co-star after bitter feud

She told The Sun: “I think it’s a shame because the memories what we got, it’s a shame that we’ve lost the friendship but it is what it is.

“It doesn’t get us down, I’m not losing any sleep over it.

“I’m just focusing on the positive this year, I don’t want to focus on any negatives.

“I want to surround myself with people who uplift me and make me feel good and who want the best for us.”

The Sun has contacted a rep for MTV for comment.
