I can reveal Channel 5 has commissioned series two and three, plus a Christmas special.

Claire Sweeney returns as the cruise director and Ross Adams joins from Hollyoaks in his first role since quitting the C4 soap.

Mike Benson, from makers Clapperboard, said: “Series one was something of a journey – or mid-price cruise – into the unknown, not least trying to film a drama on a cruise ship with 6,000 holidaymakers heading to eight different countries.”

C5 exec Paul Testar added: “We’re excited to be bringing this series back.”

C4 yesterday announced he’ll be heading to a “tropical jungle location” for a supersized eight-episode run.

He said: “Last series was full of backstabbing, and betrayal . . . this time there are added twists.”

It’s left the pro dancer nervous ahead of his stint as a judge on Spain’s version of the hit dance show.

Chatting in the first episode of their UKTV reality show Life Behind The Lens, which returns next month, Gorka says: “There’s going to be drama. They want me to give opinion, but since 2014 my main language has been English.

“I go there and they say I don’t sound Spanish any more. My mum will be like, ‘Why is your accent like that?’.

“They say I have a foreign accent because I have a Mancunian accent now. When I speak Spanish, it’s very funny.”

And despite bagging the new job, he is quick to assure fans: “I’m never leaving this country – I will never leave Strictly.”

DANNY DYER’s celebrity challenge show Scared Of The Dark will no longer see the light of day.

It was reported yesterday that Channel 4 has axed the format, which saw stars including Paul “Gazza” Gascoigne and Chris Eubank locked in a pitch-black area for a week.

More than a million viewers watched the show, with more catching up online after its week-long run. It follows C4’s cull of Alone and Rise And Fall.
