LORRAINE Stanley has hinted that Karen Taylor could make a shock return to EastEnders.
Soap fans were left outraged last year when it was confirmed EastEnders matriarch Karen would be written out of show and she was last seen in Walford in February.
Actress Lorraine, 47, has already landed an exciting new role in the upcoming movie Departures, directed by Neil Ely and Lloyd Eyre-Morgan.
But she's dropped the biggest hint yet that EastEnders fans haven't seen the last of Karen.
After it was revealed to the residents of Albert Square that Karen's son Keanu had been murdered, Lorraine pointed out that there's going to be a funeral.
When asked about a possible return, Lorraine exclusively told The Sun: "You'll have to wait and see. I can't say too much, you know I can't.

"You know there [will be] a funeral of some sort, I would imagine. I'm not allowed to say anything!"
When we pointed out that Karen would move heaven and Earth to make her son's funeral, Lorraine agreed, adding: "She couldn't miss her own son's funeral, could she?"
Lorraine's latest project Departures centres around Benji and his relationship with married man Luke, played by former Hollyoaks star David Tag.
Her character Janet - Benji's mum - is described as having an 'old school mentality' and struggling initially to come to terms with her son's sexuality.

Lorraine said: "Janet doesn't mince her words and back in her day it would have been a bit of a shock if someone was openly gay, people didn't really come out like they do today.
"She's had to learn along the way and be taught the things you can say and the things you can't say. She's got a colourful vocabulary!"
Discussing his character Luke, David, 39, said: "He's a straight, married man who has got a child on the way but it's almost like he's trying to find that thrill from somebody so he's living a double life."
Benji and Luke's affair takes place in Amsterdam and David continues: "He spots Benji from across the airport and it develops into something much more than he thought it would."
He added: "They begin to really fall in love with each other, and it kind of fills a hole that has been missing in him for a while. But he's too scared to delve fully into it."
While David admits he's excited to play the role of Luke because "it's something I've never done before", Lorraine's character Janet is also complex.
As well as coming to terms with Benji's sexuality, Janet has dealt with domestic violence in the past.
Lorraine said: "She was subject to domestic violence when Benji was growing up which was hard. She does blame herself a little bit for that."

And, while the movie isn't set to be released until next year, both Lorraine and David insist they would be up for shooting a sequel.
Lorraine joked: "Oh definitely, we all want a sequel - it's another job!"
